Dr. Fatima Al-Rashid is an Associate Professor of Information Architecture and Complex Systems, where she leads the Distributed Systems Innovation Lab. Her research focuses on developing resilient cloud computing architectures and sustainable data center design. After completing her Ph.D. from MIT, she worked at IBM\u2019s Watson Research Center before joining academia.<\/p>

A recipient of the NSF CAREER Award, Dr. Al-Rashid has published extensively on cloud computing and distributed systems. Her recent book, \u201cThe Future of Cloud Architecture: Building Resilient Systems,\u201d has become a standard reference in graduate-level courses. Known for his innovative work in adaptive interface design, Prof. Takeda\u2019s recent projects explore how AI systems can better understand and respond to users\u2019 emotional and cognitive states. His papers have appeared in top HCI conferences including CHI and UIST.
